First - I want to say a special thanks to Fireblade.  That guy came with a ton of tools, knowhow, and dedication.... for a first timer.  GREAT guy.... and cannot say thanks enough.  We would NOT have completed what we set out to do without you.

Also, thanks to those of you who donated your time, money, and/or both.  It was a long, exhausting, but very successful weekend.  The last of us came back today finishing up on the projects we set out to accomplish.

And with that.... here are some pictures:

WATER PROJECT

This little jewel enabled the water project:

Here is Dpeacher and ETH digging out the water trench, with Energizer "supervising"

The ditch:  990 feet of this long arsed hole in the ground!

Here is the final product of the water spigot and the lines running into the cabin:

FIRE PIT PROJECT

Mojo and ilikelegs building the pit.... with about 2 tons of "local" limestone.

Here is the firepit in action.  I cannot tell you how awesome it really is.

Cabin Project

Energizer and Fireblade cutting wood for the finsh-out of the eaves in the cabin:

Doublefeed and fullclip ripping some wood for the cabin:

Fireblade installing the barn wood into the wall of the cabin.  This guy REALLY busted his ass.

The finished project:

Bar project

The bar arrives, in fullclip's truck:

We installed the bar, covered it on barn wood, and installed the blender!

ETH, the captain at the helm of his new ship:

Extra Projects

We built a stone entryway for the cabin:

Our wonderful outhouse got cleaned up...... After ETH's bout with indigestion.... ask him how important the outhose project is NOW!

Q:  How many AR15.com members does it take to build an outside table?

A:  FOUR.  One to screw, one to hammer, one to hold the board, and one to "supervise"

We asked our respected Quality Control Engineer to inspect the table:

Good Job Fellers!

Hey, somebody buy ETH dinner!

Damn dude, you're wasting away!

What a great job y'all did!!!

Those of us that care appreciate it.

With my good news about a job, I still don't know about making it up there the 1st weekend in May, but I think I'll be at Gunstock as a dealer!  And next year at the Hun Farm April/May shoot, I'll be THE Class III dealer with the cool toys!

Good job fellers!

A big thanks to FALARAK and DPeacher who spearheaded these projects with determination, dedication, and hard work.
The other members deserved a 'Big Thank You' also.  We all made these projects possible, bearable, and doable.
The 1000 ft water line was the most demanding task and we finished with ample time to spare.
I'm fricking proud of our Texas crew.

Words cannot express my deep gratitude to everyone involved in these projects!

From those who turned shovelfull after shovelfull of dirt, to those who contributed the funds necessary for everything that went into the projects!

My beloved Aunt Wanda, who built the Cabin along with me, had always wished that we could get water to the Cabin, so that we could enjoy visiting there even in the heat of Summer.

She died in 1997, still making plans for us to get water there, and still wanting to get the Cabin finished out so that we could enjoy it even more.

Aunt Wanda, your dreams have come true!

Meanwhile, those of you who helped in all these projects can count on my continued appreciation and gratitude for what has been accomplished.

There remains more to do, but whatever items are left are 'small potatoes' compared with what we have already accomplished!

It will just keep getting better!

And getting better means that more of us will want to go there, and that we will want to go there even more often.

Once again, I humbly thank your for your hard work and devotion to my Aunt Wanda's dreams!

I found some bad ass trails to bike and drive
over by the old homestead.

A shit load of other places to go shoot!

Thanks for letting us all come out there so often Wayne.
No other event beats the farm.

It was also a very LARGE table-- the new top is much larger than the original rotted-out top.

I heard ETH levelled it for us! Thanks ETH!

I also heard a rumor that something may have happened to it... It was an accident involving something very hot, but we can repair it later, or possibly cut off the problem !

'legs, I need to show you Cracked Axle Canyon over there by the Old Homestead!

I think the name speaks for itself!

There is a lot of the Hun Farm that we have never gotten around to visiting!

But we will!

You are VERY welcome!  It was an HONOR and a PRIVLEGE to do what we did.  The farm is a very special place to many of us.  It is the kind of place where almost NONE of us, except through close personal friendships, would have ANY access to.  THANK YOU ETH, for being such a friend to so MANY of us!

On my part, money definetly well spent.

Thanks, from me, to all of you who did the real work, and those who, like me, only contributed money.

Outstanding job, guys!!!

I really feel bad that I couldn't be there to help.

The bar looks like it has ample room for various garnishes.

ETH, do you think that perhaps there could be a little room left at the bar for some olives, cocktail onions, tomolives, pickled okra, and jalepenos?

Martinis and Gibsons all around for the Hun Farm work crew!!! (if anyone is interested)
