Someone was telling me about a shop in Lewisville that sells steel targets. Anybody know this shop? I'd like to get a nice resetting target for the Hun Farm.

[slapping self up side the head/]

Just dawned on me that one of our subsidiary companies is a major steel fabrication shop in Ft Worth.

And the owner is an avid hunter, gun guy and my boss’s best friend.

Call me or email me specs or sketches and I’ll check it out.

Not sure if I’m going to make it to the farm yet but would be tickled shitless to help out.

No tubing sorry, We fab sheet metal ductwork for the big buildings. My plasma cutting system can cut steel plate as thick as 1/4".

FWIW, You can check the Cabela's catalogs. I bought 1 spinner and 1 resetting target from them. They are handgun targets good up to .44mag (although mine have been hit with .50AE and survived).

As far as rifle targets, if you want to dish out some money for targets that will last. Contact www.speedwelltargets.com/ and they should have whatever you need.

I have found in the past on the net a couple of different companies that make resetting targets and dueling trees (which would be WAY fun).

Hunt around a bit, I'm sure you can find what you need.

Well I was thinking that a 12" swinging plate would work. Simply a 12" plate that hangs down from a metal frame that can be placed out to about 400 yds.

Bunghole, square or round. The sqyuare is easy to come by, don't know about the round but may find a source. Is this for racks to hang targets?? fullclip

Bung - if there turns out to be any problem with material supply, the best place I have found locally - the best place I've found period is Bridgeport Steel in Bridgeport - talk to Rebecca - 940-683-4940 - $8.80 sq ft.

$422 for the 12x4' piece you referred to in your IM.  Your quoted price of $280 is mega-hella good!!!!
