I think that the Mesquite Big Town Gun Show is the next good one and it's this next weekend, February 8 & 9! Someone had mentioned on another thread that there was a gun show in DFW this weekend, but I think they just got their calendar mixed up a bit! If there is one, it must not be a very large one. First weekend of Feb is in Tyler. Too far for me. Next one in Mesquite is the 8th and 9th. I plan to be at Mesquite to buy another lower and whatever $400 more will get me. Maybe a M44 Carbine, or a shotgun, or a .45-70, maybe lots of magazines, maybe a set of long horns for the front of my truck.....just haven't decided. mike |
That was me. Shit happens. I had my head up my ass I have money saved up and will be buying a shit load of ammo. I am taking voluteers to help me carry it out to the car.

Normally, there are 4 dealers at the Big Town show that have lowers and lower kits. One just does Oly stuff, K-2 does DPMS, Homeland Defence just does RRA, Lonestar Wholesale sells stuff from different manufacturers (I don't know if the components are "name brand" though). It's usually a good idea to call one of the dealers a few days in advance and tell them what you need to they'll have it for you at the show. mike |
I will be there. If all goes well with my interview on Friday(damn 3rd interview can you believe that crap. Its not like they're going to be paying me a boat load of money ), I will be on the hunt for a pre-ban AR, another AK and an SKS to replace the one I sold. Otherwise, I will just be joining you guys for lunch and having water and bread. [>(] |

Stand at the Front Door looking into the Main Room. On your Left you will see a wall that separates the Main Room from the North Room, which is the smaller room that you leave the Gun Show through. Go all the way down that Left Wall in the Main Room until you are three rows away from the Back Wall. There at the Northern-most 'end cap' will be long-haired, blonde Brother Nick and, most likely, the Hun! Please, no autographs. If all else fails, just pay for a 'page' and have the AR-15.com Crew paged to meet you at the front door, or whatever. You should have no problem finding us! I think me and the wife are coming if we can find someone who will babysit our heathen kids. I have a dilema, though.....I only have $600....well $500 to spend... (I gotta allow for On The Border Beer Fund). I really want to come home with one out of the following: FAL .22LR (10/22?) Glock 10mm AR (yeah right...for $500???) I think I am up shit creek....doubtful I can find anything but the .22 in that price range. I really need the Glock, but want a rifle....I just cain't take the presshur!!!!!! |
You know I don't care what anyone says about the Tec9. All I know is that the state of CA says I couldn't have one. So you know what??? I want one. You wouldn't happen to be selling one real cheap are you??? |
