Ok ladies,
Let's go ahead and get something on the books. Anyone up for a Spring HTF shoot? Perhaps maybe a little closer to the midlands so everyone can get there? (Not that Pageland is a bad place, but it is far for our western brothers and sisters). Also, anyone waiting on a stamp other than me and Saturn? If it truly is running about 9 months, I only have about 3 to go!

| Can we find a place to shoot tannerite even if we are limited to the amount we can use at one time? If not, a place that goes out to at least 300 yards would be nice. No grumpy ROs would be nice along with being able to use metal targets. I'd like to set up some 1 1/2" to 2" thick steel plates. I should have my BFG within a month. Maybe a little more. |

Good luck with the tannerite, no gun range I've ever been to will allow it. Still would like to shoot it though |

The place a bunch of us went to for the spring HTFS last year allowed it for a little while. I think the 15 pounder pissed off the local residents though.
BTW, I'll have my BFG by the end of this month. That should provide some fun in place of tannerite if we can't shoot that stuff. If I had at least 10 acres or more of land, I'd say you could do it there. A 1/2 acre in a subdivision isn't a good place to shoot a bunch of guns without pissing people off. |

MCRC is super strict and tannerite is a no-go. But if you want to have fun, you don't want to shoot at MCRC anyways. LOL. |

I joined in August and have no complaints, no people muzzle sweeping me anymore since I stopped going to public ranges, plus it's the only place around Columbia that hosts any competition shooting. |

I picked up the BFG Monday and sent some rounds down range today. A friend that wanted to shoot it is leaving town this weekend. It is a lot of fun. |

You can use tannerite at southern safety.org.
I love that range. 600 yards. Separate pistol range. Laid back. I've heard a couple folks talk safety issues out there, but I've been out there three times, and was on deck once with two former PSA armorers, and the other times with a family, and a premium reloader marksman. It was all good (former swat sniper I think). The owners told me "Our only rule is that if you have something that's big enough to cause an explosion (not talking targets i.e. bazooka), our only request is that you tell us so we get to come watch" Edit... and apparently they let their domain lapse.... |

All of this would be good, ESPECIALLY the 300+ yards. Midlands is fine. My schedule stays pretty booked, so let's go ahead and get one on the calendar! |

How have I never heard of this place?!?! The website doesn't seem to work but I was able to find their facebook page. |
