It was good getting together with a few of you for lunch last week.
Weather permitting, I'm planning on jumping on the scooter next Saturday to take the lovely Mrs. Brohawk to lunch at Shealy's Barbecue in Batesburg-Leesville. I've never been there, but it was recommended by a friend who lives in Augusta. Read carefully: That's next Saturday, not today.  (You know who I'm talking to)
Also, the current caveat is weather permitting, since I plan on riding the bike. The older I get, the less fun it is in the rain. I may consider driving the car as a Plan B if it's raining. |

Shealys is much better than Hudson's...but the best in B-L is Jackie Hites (Guy Fieri of the Food Network came there). B-L is in my back yard, and I would join you, but I will be on vacation at the beach. Shealy's is always crowded, especially on Saturdays, but the buffet is hard to beat. The Fried Chicken is awesome!
edit: I might can make it on the 22nd, we will see! |
