So the wife and kids and I are coming to Gods country arriving in GNP on the 16th of this month and probably either stopping for the night in Bozeman or Missoula (first choice goal) on the night of the 15th.
So I'm asking about places with good food in Bozeman, Missoula as well as the Kallispell area.

Thanks,
Cason

Greek Gyros & Pastry Shop
520 S 5th St W in Missoula.

If you like Greek food, you owe it to yourself to try the place. Nice people. Get the Greek salad, with extra meat. Everything else they serve it great, too.

Hope the winds shift when you get here. We're getting smoke from Canada and n. Idaho fires that are making things a bit hazy..

If your hungry and on the eastern side of Glacier go east of St. Mary and eat at the Leaning Tree.  It is awesome.  The place is out in the sticks and looks like a dive but the food is... The best.  You wouldn't think so by judging the place from the outside but it is GOOD.

In Missoula the Montana Club is good but, the service there is hit and miss and sometimes you have to wait forever.  If your in the mood for something lighter try the Staggering Ox that's tasty. (Its a sandwich shop).

If your in bozeman you have to go to the Pickle Barrel.  There isn't anywhere else to eat. (Well, there is but its tradition to eat at the pickle barrel when we go down there).

Oh, if your traveling on highway 89 you can stop at Dupuyer and eat at Buffalo Joe's.  That is good food.  Also go ahead and skip the section of road east of Pendroy.  We're doing a full reconstruct out there and the road is absolute rot!  It actually got closed on Sunday because of a tiny bit of rain turned it into a nightmare of stuck RVs and downed motorcycles.  But if you do come through honk and wave at me.  I'll be in a maroon ford pickup either surveying or pointing at something messed up trying to get it fixed.

In Missoula, I like Sa Wad Dee for Thai food, Sushi Hana for sushi and The Old Post for burgers and fish tacos.  Oh, and the Catalyst for breakfast (get the huevos rancheros).

In Bozeman, the Nova Cafe on Main Street makes a mean breakfast and Ted's Montana Grill does a good lunch.  For anything else I like La Pa Grill which have great burritos.

That being said, there are lots of great little restaurants in the middle of nowhere in Montana.  Up by Glacier, there's Two Sisters Cafe between Babb and St. Mary.  If you're coming down the west side from the park to Missoula, stop at Richwine's Burgerville in Polson.  If passing through Seeley Lake, make time for the best sirloin steak and pickled watermelon rind around at Lindey's and if everything goes to hell and you find yourself in Butte, eat at Gamers Cafe.

Have fun!

In Kalispell you should try Syke's the renovated landmark restaurant off the beaten path.  Bring an appetite though.  Sykes

Yes do you know any places that would like to seasonally  (May, June, July, August) hire a CNC programmer and an RN and how to convince our work to let us take leave every year for about 3-4 months. Oh and a couple days off a week to enjoy the area. "A weekend" but does not have to be on the weekend.

It's been 5 years, but there was a bar in Whitefish that had pretty good food and a nice selection of beers IIRC.

And lots of nudie pics in the bathroom so maybe take the kids next door if they need to use the potty, but as for yourself step on in.

After a cursory search, I think it was the Bulldog Saloon.

From a TripAdvisor review.

"“Do not take your kids into the bathroom”

3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2015

This place isn't for kids- that's all. We did stay for some drinks and appetizer, we had already ordered before we had our bathroom adventure. The wings were really good!! With that being said, I would never come back- it's more like a gentleman's bar. "

My memory is pretty good apparently.

The Wife & I at the Bulldog, where she has worked for 15 years. If you were there on the week-end, she likely served you.

I can plus one this, great food and great people I've  known them for years.

Also, try Double Front Chicken . Be sure to get the Cole slaw and ask for extra sauce, they serve it a little dry, but damn is it good.

Beautiful lady there and you're looking rather dapper yourself. It was probably during the week because we were there for the week for my brother in law's wedding and spent the day doing some ziplining and the walk in the trees deal followed by lunch at the Bulldog. Overall a great day.

Funny thing about the Bulldog.

Anyone can walk through the doors. I have spent more hours than I would like to admit there. You can see any multitude of celebrities come there. I have seen, Michael J Fox, Roger Staubach, our Congressman Ryan Zinke more than he would like me to mention, John Lithgow, Eddie DeBartolo, and many others.

Our Canadian Brethren to the north treat the Bulldog like the Albertan and BC consulate since Buck (the owner) has taken CDN$ at par since he owned the place (30+ years) so you can see many Canadian celebrities (like hockey players from Calgary & Edmonton) in there regularly & nobody harasses them or gives a shit, we're all here to party.

If you want to see the Stanley Cup if you are a hockey fan, you can currently go visit it at the MGM grand in Vegas under heavy guard or you can live in Whitefish and have drunken Canadian Hockey Players draw beer into it from the taps at the Bulldog Saloon and display it in the bar.

Or when they display it in the street in fron of the bar.
