Howdy Gents!
Just wanted to drop by and let you fellas in the MT HTF know that my dream of being a Montanan (in-training) is coming to fruition. I arrived into Kalispell Monday, 05May2014 in the evening and got settled in. I am staying at one of the local RV parks in my 24ft. "Mobile Command Center" (aka travel trailer). My family and I have been planning on moving here for a couple of years. For those of you that don't know, Mrs. G is an 8th generation Montanan and has been wanting to come home for some time. Well looks like 2014 is the time and Kalispell is the place. We have been networking for a couple of months and finally decided that I would be the advance and that we needed boots on the ground to effectively get the preliminary elements of the move in place. By Wednesday, 07May2014, we had secured a lovely home that we will be leasing and during that time I managed to contact my MT HTF good friend and all-round good guy 'X Sabers'. We had quite the laugh as we spoke because the house I will be moving into is a stone's throw away from his home! I sign the lease this weekend and my family and I will be moving in as of 01July2014. We have saved a bit of $$$ for the move and our next evolution is job-searching. Mrs. G will not have any probs as she has been working in healthcare since she was in Helena, 25+ years ago. I am pursuing my career in sales & marketing, specific to the firearms industry...which has been my career path for the last 16 years. Last night, X Sabers invited me to a meeting with the kind folks at Flathead Wildlife (my family and I are now members) and I also got a chance to meet fellow MT HTF member 'TommyIDone' and his lovely better half. While at this meeting I met one of my soon-to-be neighbors who is the treasurer for Flathead Wildlife and he'd like me to accompany him on an elk archery hunt and has cordially invited me to a get together with another neighbor for some bourbon and huntin' tall tales (once I'm settled in). Just wanted to let you guys know that I am very excited at the prospect of moving in, settling and becoming a fixture in the hunting/shooting community of Kalispell and the greater Flathead Valley. I may not have been born here, but in my heart this is where I should have been all of my life. I'm looking forward to meeting any and all of you gents and if you are ever around this area drop me an IM and let's meet for a coffee, a brew or an adult beverage. Keep The High Ground, G |

Welcome Thanks, Max. X Sabers, TommyIDone & I were discussing any potential MT HTF get-togethers last night...not too sure about making it all the way to Billings, but we discussed maybe a half-way point. Anyway, hopefully looking forward to meeting you in real life one day. G |

| Congrat's on the relocate. When the wife and I started planning our escape, Kallispell was on the short list also. Ended up in Billings and have adapted to things well. Hope to see you if we have a neutral meet. Good luck in your job search. We need all the gun people we can handle. |
