Vicksburg - where to stay? Where to eat? What to do?
Wife and I will be. On vacation next week and Vicksburg is looking like Saturdays destination. Wife likes the antebellum homes, I like the civil war stuff. Any good civil war museums? Gun museums? |

Go eat here!
And here Those are a couple of my favorites, the casino's seafood buffet is ok on the food aspect but the atmosphere sucks. A must see |

Quoted: I'm using points for a room at the Baymont Inn, so the room is taken care of. Looks like dinner at the walnut inn. We may only have time for either the Cairo museum or the military park, Im leaning toward the latter. |

The museum is in the park. At bare minimum you should be able to drive by it. Quoted:

It's much better than the Cairo and National Park Museum in my opinion. Of course, I am prejudiced. Avoid the casinos like the plague they are. |
