So they haven't cashed my check yet and its been about 3 weeks so I won't be able to conceal this weekend.

I know I can open carry but Google search had an archived thread from here saying the white mountain area will possibly be infested with massholes and like minded hippies so I'm not sure if I want to OC.

From the tacked thread I can leave the gun empty in the holster and a mag in my pocket. Can this be done in a vehicle also or should it be in the trunk? Is there a duty to inform during a police interaction.

Thanks

The gun can be concealed in the car, so long as it is unloaded.  A few years ago, the state tried to charge an out-of-stater for having a magazine next to the gun in his glove box, but the judge ruled that the magazine must be inserted in order to be considered "loaded".

NH does not have a duty to inform, but I do so anyway as a courtesy.  The state police seem to appreciate that.
