I'm a structural engineer from upstate NY and looking to escape from the gulag. I've been thinking about NH, and I promise you that I hate liberalism and would never vote for any lib, or to vote in anyway that would make your state like the craphole that is NY.

I was wondering what the economy is like in NH and what kind of job prospects might exist for a structural engineer.  I have a PE license in ny and PA.

I know about 6 or 7 civil engineers from college, and all but one of them ended up in MA due to the job market.

Not to say there isn't work here, but according to them the work is much more plentiful in the Boston area.

EE is a popular field in NH. I'm an EE, and there are like 5 or 6 guys over on NES that are also EE. Roughly half of my graduating class (there were only like 13 of us... lol) still work in NH.

Going to MA is not an option for me, I don't want to substitute one leftist gulag for another

As bad as MA is it is still better than NY but if you work in MA if you don't mind driving you can live in NH.

Boston is only 60 miles to Manchester NH. How long it takes to drive that 60 miles varies day to day and the weather

You would just have to pay the 5.2% of your income to work in MA

Don't rule out living in NH and working in MA. There's more than a few NH residents other than myself at my place of employment in Lexington. It's about 37 miles (no highway), or one hour each way. It seems like we're always looking for engineers too.
