Anyone know of a local spot that has 55 gallon food grade barrels?  I thought of calling like Pitco or Incredibrew as a last ditch effort.

I could have sworn I saw a place within my recent travels that had loads of different barrels/tanks, but it has escaped my memory.

TIA.

I have some I got from work.

These had Sodium Hypochlorite in them..which is bleach.

They have been rinsed out and are in the process of drying.

I was going to sell them for $20 a pop.

If you are interested we can meet up someplace.

Where in NH are you? I am in the Littleton area.

Thanks for the replies gents.  The shit hit the fan for me a week or so ago with work and I'm yet to get my head above water.

Once I have a spare second to tend to this project, I'll reach out to each of you.  If things don't work out, I completely understand.  Meanwhile...back to the grindstone.

So funny that you posted that Craigslist ad.  I was coming on here to post about that place.  My wife was driving through Loudon last week and saw the horde of barrels this guy has and knew one would fit the bill.  "Happy early Birthday" she tells me as I'm yanking the thing out of her car.  The one she got has a more open lid which should make the post-sanitize-drying process a little easier.

I like the idea of some of the fuel storage options they have.  She said the gents there were really nice and was surprised with their variety.

Thanks again to all those that replied.

Just curious, What are you using the barrel for?

Depends.

I'm planning to get the 30 gals with the white top to store sleeping bags.

The 50 gal ones tp store my folding chairs in. All will have desiccant bags in them. it is to protect them from mice.

My plan is as a "fourth'ish" reserve of water.

Edit to add quote.
