I cannot search the Hometown forum so I apologize if this is a duplicate.
1. Are there any restrictions on whom you can use as a reference? For example, could one reference be a spouse? 2. Does the form (DSSP85) have to be filled out by hand? The pdf has editable text fields, so you can just fill it out in AcroRead and save a completed copy. |

I have been contacted by towns from folks who who have used me as a refence. I may depend on the town.
I wouldn't sweat it too much, when I first moved back to NH in 07, I wasn't in contact with many folks so I had to use friends from outa town. I think two of the three were over 500 miles from my residence. It was not an issue. |

New question. I now have my permit, which is a thin ~3x~5 piece of paper, but I would like to digitally scale it down to the size of a driver's license / credit card and laminate that copy. I know people laminate their permits, but a scaled-down permit would be, by definition, not the original. Has anyone here done anything like this? Would it create a problem?
Details of how I would like to do it: -Capture an image of the permit, correctly scaled, in an 850 x 1100 pdf with a high end copy machine. (I have done this part. It worked perfectly.) -Import the pdf into Photoshop/Gimp/whatever and scale the entire file to 480 x 621. This makes the actual image of the permit on the printed page almost exactly the same size as the actual image portion of my NH driver's license. -Print on a color printer at >=600dpi (to get the permit number in red) and cut out the permit. -Laminate. |
