After checking the maine IFW website I come to find my name listed in the winners of the moose lottery .Now I have a whole lot of planning and work to do.My permit is for a Bull in zone 4.Never been that far up,considering using a guide.I know that gets expensive but moose permits don't fall out of trees either so I want to make this one count.
Any arfcom members up in the northwest corner of maine have any good advice on the subject,educate me.Meanwhile I'll be going to the range a lot more with my bolt action savage.

I haven't been lucky enough to go on a moose hunt, but I've done some camping and exploring in the area you're going to be hunting. There are a lot of nice campsites owned by the NMW.
