A man died Monday night after he shot himself in the chest at the RTSP Shooting Range in Randolph, one of the owners of the shooting range confirmed.

Rick Friedman, an owner of RTSP Shooting Range, told NJ Advance Media the man had practiced at the range a couple times before Monday night and there were no apparent signs he intended to shoot himself.

This appears to be a new case.

Seriously? Didn't someone blow their head off there last month? I'm willing to bet that RTSP changes their policy now to only members can shoot there. Which only leaves me Cherry Ridge to shoot at; I hate shooting on the pistol range there.

Not a dupe this is a new one and happened last week.

I was actually thinking about going there this weekend to shoot a new pistol and try my new optic out, but I these suicides are going to stop me.

Another option is to go there immediately after their "members time" on the weekends. I assume that it would be fairly empty, or at least filled with somewhat sane people. Their memberships are too expensive, and I live far enough away to justify not going there often.

It's funny you say that you were planning on going there this weekend. I too was planning on going on Sunday morning to shoot my new XD Mod. 2 and my Spike's AR that I just put an ACE Entry stock on and wanted to make sure it'll still cycle with the Carbine buffer and spring (no reason it shouldn't but you never know.)
