Hey all. I'm in a bit of a jam and not sure which way to go here. My dad has an old Union Arms Co. SxS double barrel shotgun that was his fathers, it's the only thing he has left from his father that passed away in May. He's been talking about getting it refinished (metal is not too bad. Wood is pretty rough) and mounting it above his mantle. I was considering getting it done for him for Christmas to try and help ease the blow of the first Christmas without him. My question is, is there anyone around here (South Jersey) that does this kind of work for a reasonable price? The few people I've talked to so far are telling me anywhere from $400-$600 just for the wood work. I really don't know if that's high or low as I've never really looked in to this kind of thing before. Really didn't want to spend $1000 to restore a gun that's only worth $150 on a good day.

Shoot me an email and I'll check to make sure it's ok that I give out his number. .....He does a cold re blue but only does it lightly so as not to take away any of the original lettering or scroll work. ....he's done 4 long guns for me at about 100 to 150 ea
