Obviously something is very wrong.  I am taxed out by the State, my county and my town.
Yet somehow poverty keeps increasing.

Poverty in N.J. reaches 52-year high, new report shows

The difference is that NJ's politics have added an element to the system destroying plans by insuring that they get first crack at the skim before your money gets divied up to the "needy."

I heard this guy give a radio interview, his complaint had to do with the assessed value of his property going from $400K to one million. As a consequence, his real estate taxes doubled in one year.  I doubt anyone here would be able to afford their homes if their taxes doubled from $18,000 $36,000 and there is no way property values go up $600,000 in one year.

Of course the state and counties need more revenue, so lets just squeeze the taxpayer some more.  After all, public unions need to be funded and the "leaners and takers" keep flooding into our state, who happens to be much too generous with other peoples money.

Why do you think there are so many frequent posts on this forum about people wanting to get the hell out of NJ, it is not only because of our draconian gun laws.  What you are seeing in NJ is a "death by a thousand cuts", as soon as people who work and pay their taxes can exit, they are gone.  Who stays behind? the leaners and takers, eventually this state will collapse since there will be more people on the dole than can be afforded by those that are productive.

I'm not picking on you Wind, but the way you phrased your post made it seem as if you are AOK with someone being unfairly overtaxed by the state.

If you are familiar with Cloward and Piven, you understand how this is all a premeditated attempt to bring our country to its knees.

Rant over

It was sarcasm...he has a huge mansion in an exclusive community, they are all $1 million + homes. He is as crooked as they come, and has been mayor forever...... he built all sorts of things for the township, golf course, with a steak house and bar, huge community center, letting everyone and and his brother build developments to up the tax base. I moved out of there after watching the way the place was going. It is slowly going downhill, absorbing the worst parts of Atlantic city
