| Do all handguards for ban compliant uppers have to be a 2 piece, non free floating? I'm assuming because you can't remove the front sight off the barrel or the pinned compensater. Wanted to switch out the standard handguards for a rail system. Thanks |

you can remove the brake and sight. and there is no wording anywhere about what kind of foregrip you have to use. most of us use a free float foregrip. OK, I was looking at the Upper, didn't want to take it apart if I didn't have to. So pretty much any foregrip should be good to go then. |

I'm almost positive I can't remove the muzzle brake. It's welded/pinned on there. I haven't tried the front sight yet. With a pinned muzzle brake you won't be able to remove the front sight base unless you cut it off and replace it with a clamp on gas block. |

I'm guessing the only option I have is to find a 2 piece hand guard rail ? |

you have to break the pin holding it on then you can unthread it, usually the brake gets damaged so it needs to be replaced. but it will come off and the new one needs to be pinned again. But if I didn't want to go that far. The 2 piece foregrips snap together without having to take the sight and muzzle brake off correct ? |

Just go with these. Your only kidding yourself if you think the free floating handguards will improve your accuracy.
Unless your shooting with a NM upper on a benchrest you will never see the difference. http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=64 |

I have had ARs with Magpul hand guards ($$). I have had ARs with free floating hand guards ($$$). I have had Both Colt and LMT one piece uppers ($$$$$). Notice I went from 3 dollar signs to 5
While I understand that the free floating guards apply no force on the barrel at all no matter how you hold the rifle, it has never made a difference to my accuracy results. Now I never shoot more then 200 yards but for me it just does not make a difference. Before the boat accident I had one free floating hand guard rifle (because it looks real nice), a standard hand guard rifle and a Magpul hand guard rifle. Same results from all three at any distance I shoot. Clearly I am the weak link. I sure am going to miss those rifles. |

Check with the Mako Group... call them, they distribute for the Israeli Company that manufactures them. We met with one of the Israeli Reps @ShotShow, who showed us the different mags they are or will be making. I could swear I remember a 5, 10 or a 15, plus other standard sized mags. Hope that helps. |

Yeah, they show 10 rounders in stock, however a 3 month wait due to high demand... I'll give them a call see what they can do. |
