When applying for the Firearms Card, do you have to get fingerprinted by the State's vendor (MorphoTrak) or can a police agency do your prints? I have been given conflicting info on this issue. Thanks.

NJSP directive is to go to MorphoTrak, but some PD's are still doing them inhouse. In reality it's up to the issuing PD.

Check with your local PD. Follow their directives.
Glad to hear you are getting your NJFPID ASAP. Life is so much easier with one.
