| Heads up, its Hunter Education day AND an NRA Shooting class. Two hour wait time for a rifle table. No hand gun lanes available. Plan or re-plan accordingly. |
|
Every time I get to R14 after 9:00/9:30am on a Sunday, it is always packed. Saturday is only slightly better.
Last Sunday (10/9), my son and I drove the 35 mins it takes to get there and arrived at 9:45 just as they called in about 30 waitees. It took 20+ mins just to get our turn at the counter. They told us the next table would be available at 12:20. I complained to one of the guys who looked like he was in charge or something. He said that they will be extending the rifle range. It will be one long pavilion instead of individual stations. He said that by next spring they should have nearly double the number of lanes. Not sure how true that is. Just passing along. |

Its typically not like that during the summer. I guess the heat keeps everyone away. I did talk to James and the old guy (Sarge I think). They said they plan on starting construction in November. They'll be pouring concrete and putting overhead cover. Neither mentioned more lanes, but that would be nice. My concern is what are they going to do about tables? The current benches are pretty good. |
