Hello,
I'm looking to try a little bit of hunting. I didnt have anyone teach me these things and I'd like to learn to hunt. the hunting license process is a little overwhelming and can someone simplify it to me? I'm looking to do some deer or not sure if they're doing bear this year but would like to try something like this. Do they have charter hunting groups or something like that? |

Seriously, know your laws, you knowledge and your safety. Cant stress that enough. Learn all the regs, specific hunting zones, the dos and donts. Your weapon dictates all of that. I highly recommend reading NJ Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife website and magazine. You can pick it up at any sports store. Take classes, pay attention. Ignorance of all the said above is not an excuse. If you get fined or accidently shoot something or someONE, trust me it wont turn out well if you tell them "I didnt know"
Hunting is awesome and fun if you do it right. Dont be one of those guys, there are too many of them out there |

The packet includes a DVD and workbook. Complete the assignments for the given deciplines (shotgun, rifle/muzzleloader, bow). Retested for a testing date by location. Arrive and perform skills checks and written test. I would reccomend doing all at once. When you pass the test you will get a card stating you completed the course. Muzzleloader, bow or shotgun? Yes there are guided hunts all over the country that offer something for anyone. IDK about bear this year. |
