Government cannot rule innocent men. The only power government has is to crack down on criminals. Well, what does one do when there aren't enough criminals? One creates them. You declare so many things to be illegal that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking the law

Exactly how does a "$5 toy gun, similar to a Nerf gun, that shoots soft ping pong type ball"s resemble an "imitation firearm"? How mentally deficient are the staff of the Hammonton schools to call the police over ping pong balls?
I'm glad to see the "Hammonton Police began an investigation" into a nerf gun. I'm sure the taxpayers of Hammonton are happy to see their police working so hard to keep the "safe" from ping pong balls. What a great example of what is wrong with the progressives' view of society where all outcomes must be the same. Everything is legislated, regulated and codified. The nanny state policies are followed regardless of how ridiculous these policies are. If you have a toy gun, whether your a kid having fun or a felon using the toy gun to commit a robbery, you must be prosecuted. Criminal intent is irrelevant; the police cannot exercise judgement. If the school officials then took possession of the "gun", maybe they should be charged possession of a hand gun since they don't otherwise meet any of the exemptions for possession in NJ. Did they say if the ping pong balls had hollow "nose"s!? |

And in Virginia:
