I am a mentor for FIRST Robotics (google it for more info).  It is a non-profit organization that promotes the sciences in one of the most awesome ways possible to high school students.  This year they got the "awesome" idea to sell light bulbs as a fundraiser.  They asked us nicely not to sell over the internet to help keep every team's ability to fundraise rather equal.  I will abide to this and simply ask the members of this site if they have any leads on any electric warehouses/electricians that are willing to carry our product in Central NJ.  MSRP is $20 which is way less than the MSRP for a comparable bulb at Lowe's ($40 for a Sylvania 7W).  We have A LOT of room for price adjustment and are willing to go rather low (~$10) because we are doing this as a fundraiser and not for profit so we are simply happy with any funds raised.

The bulbs are as follows:

- CREE Chip
- Manf. by TESS
- 7W
- 450 Lumen (comp to a 60W bulb)
- Warm light (2700k)

I'd like to try two or three.  Send me an email.

I'd be interested in a couple too.  Are they the size of a regular evil bulb?  My bathroom fixture keeps blowing the cf bulbs.  The evil bulbs are the only ones that last.

They are exactly the same size and i believe they have some sort of warranty.  Sending you an email now.

It's probably the high humidity in the bathroom killing the built-in ballasts of the CFLs.
Some of them are also positionally sensitive as far as bulb life goes.

I heard it could be that they are in enclosed fixtures.  I don't know.  I bought a bunch of pre ban bulbs.  You aren't saving much money using cfl if you have to replace the fixture.

I have been using a 40 watt equivelent   in a lamp, doesn't seem to be as bright as the CFL, but usable as computer lite, it cost $18 at Home Depot. It is rated to use 9 watts. Yes I will be replacing all the cfls we have, part as we are solar powered, part that new research has shown cfls generate dangerous radiation, and they have a long life.
