Afternoon all,

I just relocated from Northern NJ to New Brunswick.  I am currently in the process of updating my FID card address and applying for some pistol permits, or well trying to at least.  I have been trying to get in contact with the detective that process the applications and have had no such luck here.

Does anyone have any experience with NBPD in this respect?  I am nervous that they are going to make this as hard as possible for me to do, unlike my hometown where I just dropped off my application they fingerprinted me and I had my initial FID card 2 weeks later.

Anyone with any insight as to how NBPD is would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I would imagine NBPD is not all that quick or cooperative in getting a change of address done.  They have a lot on their hands, between the college kids and the not-so-great areas of town - not that it's an excuse.  Did you walk into the police station and ask for the detective in charge of FID cards, or his contact information?  If you're there in person, they can't NOT tell you who's in charge of it.

EDIT - I should clarify that I have no personal experience with NBPD in that respect, so I could be way off base.

New Brunswick is more Central Jersey but anyway as far as your problem goes, like said above, they have alot on their hands. Rutgers College kids and alot of scumbags. There are some bad areas around there.

Watch out for the Rutgers PD, they have nothing better to do then right tickets off campus.  I got one on my last day in Jersey.  The ass did not even identify himself to me.  I only found out he was Rutgers PD when I looked at the ticket after I got home.
