I'm from KS, don't know NJ laws. I have a Army buddy who lives in NJ who wants a AR15. He is new to ARs and does not know the NJ gun laws. Any help would be appreciated.

Check out the " Important nj threads" at the top. and dont fret we can have a lot of ar type rifles.

no collapsible stock, no bayonet lug, no flash suppressor(muzzle breaks ok, but MUST be permanently attached), mags limited to 15 rounds only, CANNOT have "AR15" stamped on receiver.

No such thing as pre-ban here.

Army personnel new to ARs???? M16 minus the third hole.......

Not new to the weapon system but new to owning a private one. I don't know the laws so I'm trying to square him away with some info to assist with his decision.

The AR15s you would typically see in NJ gun shops will be configured to NJ gun laws, but you would be wise to double check.
