If you know what you are doing irritates and causes annoyance, why do you still do it? Check out the word "innocently". It wasn't deliberate. If I knew in advance I wasn't allowed to post a humorous comment on the thread (in response to someone else's), I wouldn't have done it. Are you working round all the forums today having a go at me on as many as you can? |

If you are referring to the Canada Geese thread in the other forum then perhaps if you didn't make out you were some sort of legal expert and post a load of misleading bollocks you wouldn't have been called to task and found wanting. You have been asked on several occasions to wind it in a bit on here. I have suggested you cool your boots and learn a little more about how the forum works and the personalities on here but you seem to have ignored the friendly advice. From what you have posted above, you clearly seem to recognise what you are doing but can't help yourself. I really don't understand why you do it. This forum is the internet equivalent of a backstreet pub where we all get together as mates who know one another and have a bit of a piss-take and share a bit of fun. We do all know on another, most of us speak regularly together on the phone and met up on the range on a regular basis. The UKHTF is not a big place, and new members stand out a mile, unlike the BBS which is a very big forum and has a lot of members. I appreciate it makes it difficult for newer members to become part of this forum at times. That's not by design, it's just human nature. When new members come in and start being so "familiar" it's the equivalent of walking up to a a group of blokes in the pub and just joining in the conversation. It can be done but does require a degree of tact and time to become part of the group. The best way to become involved is to come along to matches and meet the people involved. It can take a bit of time but it is worth it. I was shooting with these people for a while before I joined ARFCOM and I only did so then because MouseGunner and Bunny-Assassin invited me to do so. We all post daft stuff at times, it's the nature of internet forums. I don't hold anything against you are anyone else for having the occasional brain-fart. In fact most of the time it's amusing and I'm no stranger to making an ass of myself at times. However, I' hope you will forgive me for pointing out that I have seldom met anyone with a case of cranial flatulence as bad as yours. I'm sure you are a thoroughly pleasant chap, but you do seem to approach things from left field. Just an observation, but i hope that clarifies things a little. I may be wrong in my appraisal of the situation, and would hope that those who disagree with my appraisal will offer their perspective as well. |

You turned the other thread on the BBS into a nasty spiteful personal attack on me which honestly upset me, and you are doing the same here. You then temper it with "I am sure you are a nice chap" type comments so that then makes it all right
I made a mistake, and an innocent one here (apparently, I still don't know if it was me) in posting a humorous comment when I didn't know I wasn't supposed to. You don't have to then turn it in to a character assassination on me here, or on the BBS

I suggest you think on before levelling accusations like that  . It was not a personal attack at all, and there was no spite in it either. You made a bullshit claim about the law and were politely but firmly called to task over it. The thread is there for people to read if they wish to do so.
You mislead a large number of shooters with your own interpretation and turned what was a relatively simple question in a thread I started, that was answered within the first 5 posts, into a hijacked 4 page thread full of irrelevant bollocks. I tried to help you understand the nuances of the Legislation, Guidance and the General Licence and even asked you to point out where you thought I was wrong, because it was entirely possible that I had missed something. You were unable to back up your position. Yet you insisted on telling me that I needed a variation without even knowing what the condition is on my ticket saying that I would or could have my ticket revoked  , despite the fact that I had already consulted with BASC and my FLO on the issue and their conclusions were both in complete contradiction to yours.
Furthermore, it isn't a character assassination. If you stopped for five minutes to think about what I posted above in this thread, you would see that I am trying to help you, and yet again you haven't picked up on the salient points. We have exchanged a number of private messages over the last few months about fitting in on here, and I have tried to assist you in understanding the way things work. I really can't do any more.

I can't comment about another site, because I don't go there, and shit from there, shouldn't be here.
