Just a quick question. Obviously being a bit green in this area, But if you had a .223 with a .22LR conversion, what would be on the your certificate? Would you need a space for both.
I know it may seem a bit dumb to those in the know. So sorry

You'd need a .22 rimfire "conversion unit" listed, I believe.

I've seen them listed as "Calibre conversion unit" and "22rim fire insert".

Ask your firearms licensing guys what they want to call it and go with that.

I've got one on my ticket. I arranged an empty slot specifically for a Ciener  Kit. It has it's own serial number.

It works really well with quality ammo and black dog mags.

Obviously, not the right barrel twist, but a good training aid and cost effective

Yeah, I can see what you're saying about the barrel, that was something I thought about with .22 being smaller than .223 but obviously isn't that much of a problem. I guess accuracy may suffer a little, but the cost saving in ammo would be an obvious bonus. Good to see it works with the black dog mags, I personally don't like the skinny mag look.
I was thinking of .22lr when I finally get my FAC (long story, still trying to join a club, which is harder than it first seemed) that way I can get semi-auto. But after a lot more research I'm thinking that a straight pull might not be a bad idea.

Thanks again everyone,
LD

..because?  lots of rabbits to shoot? mini rifle competitions? or just because that's the closest thing to a 'real' AR15 you can own that doesn't shoot plastic pellets or caps?

a straight pull would be great for CSR sure.. but is that what you are planning? Or is it just 'owning an AR15'

Maybe you have worked out what you actually want to do with it (plinking is fine too).. I don't want to appear unfairly cynical, but TBH that way that reads...
