Rant time.
Went to my club last night & a chap was blatting away with his Unicorn, only 2 other shooters on the range. As I was getting ready to go in I heard a conversation between some other members slagging off military looking rifles & how every one who owned one was a wannabe Rambo. Now being called Rambo really pisses me off & to hear other shooters talking like fucking anti's really pisses me off. I was a bit jaded last night but next time I hear such a conversation I think a bit of robust debate might take place. 
How do you lot deal with anti's with in your shooting circles, if you're unlucky enough to have them? Andy. |

How do you lot deal with anti's with in your shooting circles, if you're unlucky enough to have them? Andy. Ignore them, or if you want to stick it up em challenge them to justify their comments. They generally don't like being called out. Most are usually small minded plinkers who are riddled with gun envy, have spend years slagging off the practical disciplines as not "traditional" and are usually too fucking stubborn to accept that shooting has moved on and is more diverse than ever. The only way we will move forward in this sport is for everyone to accept that us shooters need to stand together. |

It wasn't that long ago that all the fudds on the BBS were going on about the nasty military black rifles and how they are bad for shooting........ now they are falling over themselves to get them. You go there to shoot, not to listen to the comments of get slagged off.... that's our job.... In one of the clubs I go to it's usually the back office dwelling types that never pull a trigger that have the most to say.... they sit in the back office slagging everybody off who walks through into the range and don't want "any of that competition rubbish"

How do you lot deal with anti's with in your shooting circles, if you're unlucky enough to have them? Andy. Never fails to amaze me, how fragmented shooters are as an entity. Remember hearing let them take the assault rifles, real shooters don't use them anyway? Or pistols aren't for target shooting anyway? Shooters are their own worst enemies and I for one couldn't have let the comments made above go without challenging them. I would hope others feel the same! |
