Ok Newbie question follows If I am zero'd at 100 whats the best form: - adjust sights at 75/50/25? - aim off? - or just go for it and aim centre mass? from a 100 yd zero, my bollixistal calculator says there is only about 0.5-1.5 inch difference at 50/25 does that sound about right? How do the cool kids do it? Thanks in advance for your wisdom |

Just carry your laptop/ipad and hope you get enough time to adjust between exposures. For a quick settings Use a 100 zero for 100 and 75, use 200 for 50 and set 300 for 25. Or better still use an ACOG. |

Sooooo having watched you lot having fun I have a stupid question. Could I shoot that along side you big boy calibres with a .22 semi, obviously scoring isn't important, just for the shooting experience? Andy. Probably, but the Fibua is only shot once a year at the moment I believe and you've just missed it |

When we shot the match on Nelson range, Pirbright a couple of years ago it was awesome
Nelson has 20 or 25 lanes (can't quite remember) and everyone blazed through it with big grins Because we had so many lanes, we were done in a couple of details with loads of time to spare, so...when we asked if anyone fancied a reshoot as the range was still ours.......all you could see was people heading back to their bags and the sweet joyful sound of mags being re-stuffed
It was great, unfortunately Nelson is pretty unique anywhere, and thus in high demand from the Military.....which is a shame for us civvies Still, the NSC do us proud with the range they build us on Running Deer, although as it's so popular on weekends, there aren't any weekend bookings available for us to hire it... |

The current Civ CoF doesn't need FM. However the current Mil CoF does. The reason the current CoF isn't fired is that it requires 2x20 Rnd magazines; and not all can play at that for the Imperial. Future (non-Imperial) matches may well use the current CoF as it falls within the remit granted to Civ SR by the NRA.

That day on Nelson was also the hottest day of the year, the temperature was in the 90's and after at least 3 more reshoots my rifle was steaming, even the float tube was hot ! |
