Considering that my brand new work laptop can barely make it an hour without something malfunctioning, I think the chances of computers becoming autonomous, capable of free thought including hi-tech engineering designs (including new technologies), bio-engineering, over-riding safety features to launch a nuclear weapon etc etc rather unlikely anytime in the near future.

If the terminator was running windows 7, he would have spent half the time walking in circles while the updates installed and the other half having to reinstall the drivers for his ray-gun interface!

"I'm sorry, your terminator has performed an illegal action and will now reboot, press any key to send a report to skynet"

We'd be f*&ked if they were made by Apple.

Haven't got a Dell by any chance have you?
I used to have an IBM (not Lenovo) laptop for about eight years. It survived being dropped down a flight of stairs and 'falling' out of an equipment cabinet.
I've now got a Dell and in the 18 months I've had it, its had the hard drive and the NIC daughter board replaced - it really is a piece of cheap lightweight shite.

If it was an IBM Thinkpad - it was a Lenovo... The only difference now, is that it says Lenovo on the sticker...
(I've got a Dell Latitiude and am happy...)

2 points!

If Terminators were made by Apple they would only be able to use Apple guns and ammo and would probably only shoot Apple customers!
