Probably attending, although I don't know how successful accuracy will be since all I can find is Remington Sluggers and I don't load slug at the moment. Hopefully some new varieties will be available to try. Slug is a small part of the match... There's plenty of buck & birdshot as well. Plenty of Geco and Sellier Bellot slug available round here... |

Ah, OK. What sort of weight/shot size cartridges and how many would be needed? Thanks. This was the brief from the one last October, so expect something very similar... "This Target Shotgun Festival will consist of a seven-stage match, Carlisle Pins, Snooker Competition and a Man vs. Man event. These have a variety of targets (static and moving), firing positions and distances to test your shooting prowess. There will be a full briefing given before the start of each stage. To complete the stages you will need a minimum of 24 rds of Slug, 14 rds of Ball Buckshot/SG and 63 rds of Birdshot. This will be the minimum number of rounds, as you are allowed to top up on the timed/comstock stages. To keep the costs down there is no Timed and Precision One or Multi- Target Match and this is reflected in the entry price of £25.00 for NRA members. All competitors will need to be on range at 0830 hrs unless prior arrangements have been made with the Shooting Division in the NSC." |

Well, I am off that day ( first day of 10 days leave so might as well start it with a bang ) so will come along and play. Though I have previous for using buckshot where I should have used slug so will have to be careful with three types of ammo !!! Entry forms - can we download or do I need to request one from Mr Thomas ? Oh and I will bring my competition licence. |
