I reckon one would be interesting to look at from a technical standpoint but after that its sort of pointless.
Tenpoint make really good crossbows that are a lot quieter than firing a .22 rifle, granted re-cocking them is a lot slower. Bow hunting is banned in the UK so you couldn't take it out for game of any discription either. You never know it could catch on with the Target Crossbow Shooters, I recon the men in tights won't have any truck with it though. Arrows or Bolts have a lot more penetration power than bullets. Over short distances, 25yds its amazing what an arrow will go through or stick into. As a kid I got a 35lb re-curve bow one christmas with a set of steel 3 blade broadheads, shot one into an Oak tree thinking I would just pull it out like they did in the Films. Penetrated 2 inches (most of the head) and would not budge, like you had hammered it in, broke the shaft trying to get it out. A mate of my dads built a full size medieval crossbow that fired its bolt all the way through a railway sleeper I think the penetration factor was what drove the development of the Flechette, a dart or very small bolt. |

Will you be stocking these latest LaRue Products? Technically in the US they are firearms but what would they be here? Who knows. They'd be firearms, they use a cartridge to propel a projectile at over 12 ft/lbs Those Hilti nail guns. The ones which use blanks. Whats the ft/lbs there ? |
