But got the day off for the GR Championships - looking forward to showing the Bennelli Boys that my Hatsan can do the business. Or not. Already one of the Bennelli Boys has been scared off

Already one of the Bennelli Boys has been scared off ![]() Oh yes....I'm really scared..... Tell you what, as circumstances have conspired against me so I can't compete as I'd like at The Nationals, I'll pay to hire Butt Zero in the near future and we'll shoot all the shotgun comp's to your terms of 'loser donates £10 to HfH per match'. Scared my arse......... |

Unfortunately, at the moment BZ is the only place for slug use at Bisley on a day to day basis. It's a bit steep if there's only a couple of you but you do have the turning targets on bay 1, the mover on bay 2 and a bay for frangibles if you are so inclined.... You can shoot from 15m to about 90m as well.... Maybe I should make the overall loser pay the range fee..... |

Which bit is 90m? Where they shoot the barricade match, just start further back? Presumably that would preclude the falling plate and mover bays being used at the same time? |

Do you think Mike45 will come and Play too He can kick both your arses ETA If the Daleks let him leave the 'home planet' He might if the course of fire is using birdshot to shoot at small targets at very short range whilst running around and reloading very rapidly. Fair play to him, he is outstanding at that - not something I would ever master - takes all the fun out of the shooting bit when I have to try to remember which target to shoot and count my rounds and not fumble the reload But the 3 slug matches ( target shotgun ) is really not the same. Aiming for a x ring rather than a falling plate. Nice simple course of fire - only strenous movement is going prone a few times and only one reload ( for which I have a great time saving idea which I will try on Saturday if I can ) Hope he can attend though as I am sure I can learn something watching him. |

| My M2 is accurate but I had a nightmare with the short (63.5mm) S&B Slugs, swapped to Magtech for the next match and had no problems cycling but on the last stage had a light strike or, more likely, a duff round. Will need to do some more testing with ammo and was advised to swap back to the Comfortec Stock until the gun is fully run in. |
|
Scary....... |
|
Done that twice with my .357 magnum S&W #586 4", and it was so cool, as the target blocked the turning mechanism, every man and his dog loved me, Germans just have no humour and I got to pay for the busted target, which I argued the point as they had changed the timing from 8/5 to 5/3.
BTW, Brian get a shave Tony |

Quoted: S&B Special Sport Slug or even better the Geco Target......My M2 is accurate but I had a nightmare with the short (63.5mm) S&B Slugs, swapped to Magtech for the next match and had no problems cycling but on the last stage had a light strike or, more likely, a duff round. Will need to do some more testing with ammo and was advised to swap back to the Comfortec Stock until the gun is fully run in. The pistol grip stock may have a problem with the S&B but the Geco will cycle it no problem..... However, do not put much weight on top of the M2 in way of optics when using the Geco. It has quite a short sharp recoil impulse and that coupled with the extra weight of a 1x - 4x scope ripped out all 4 screws holding my Picatinny rail on..... Hence me shooting all the comp's this morning with my pump and iron sights......
