I picked up the book but I was wondering before I truly dive into it, What is the general opinion of this book, I ask because I know the US media tends to uhhhh, have "artistic license" with these things. Like Tony Blair. (I saw that thread).

Thanks.

"The one that got away" is also about the same patrol.

All of the books tell a slightly differing story. Ryan and McNab obviously want to make it sound as exciting as possible. While Asher was good friends with one of the guys that died (who is potrayed as wanting to give up in Ryan's book).

They are all a good read; the truth probably lies somewhere between all three
