Surprised to have some free time on a Saturday; I thought that I would go to WNSC to zero my Recce carbine. I haven't checked the zero since I mounted the Eotech in the Autumn of last year. Since then I have shot at a couple of the mini rifle comps and with one on the first Saturday of July; I thought that it was worth checking. Especially as I haven't shot it in a while and it's not really possible to do it at the comps; because all the ranges are in use and there are usually quite a few people there.
When I arrived at the range; it was pretty much deserted. So much so that I had the 25 metre range all to myself.
Once I had opened the shutters and got a target board up; I thought that I would fire a few rounds to wake myself up and see roughly where the zero was before I really got into it.
15 or so rounds later, I was pleased to discover this:
Which considering I was using bog standard mini mag (and my awful standard of marksmanship) I was pretty pleased with!
I spent the rest of the session practicing standing shots at the standard size target. 200 rounds passed (very quickly) without a stoppage - that now makes well over a thousand with only one stoppage due to a defective round.
Just imagine what one of Mr Bradley's creations could do in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing!
