Don't worry I would have been in touch. Aren't you shooting on saturday any way?
Andy. Aimpoint personally, got a few of them Not a fan of the "42" plasma strapped to the top of your gat" look of the eotech, they are good sights though... I'd be happy with both tbh, they both look good. Any real life experiences of pro's or con's? Andy. |
| Andy, there are massive debates about this subject all over the internet. The Aimpoints are reported to have better battery life (several years left turned on I believe) whereas Eotech fans prefer the dot/circle reticule. think you are going to have to have a look at both and decide which you prefer looks & function wise. |

I've used both, prefer the Aimpoint, as I like just a plain dot rather than the ranging circle and dot of the Eotech, as I find it obscurse too much of the target. Unfortunately my lot went with Eotechs. They work fine, but you asked for preference.. You can get the Eotech with a single dot, they do a model with dot, ranging circle & dot & ranging circle & 2 dots which you obviously use for hold over. Andy. |

while I was serving I did a load of demos for the L3 Eotech for the old bill and some other shady characters, top bit of kit couldn't break it and did we try. Awesome target pick up for snap shooting but over 300m not so good (it is a CQB sight). Nick Well that's not a problem when it's going on a .22lr, I know I'm a bbser, but even I can't hit rabbits @ 300 m.

Andy. Then you should try harder or get a .17 HMR |

Tubes are generally better in inclement weather (precipitation) than open frame sights, imho. |
