This years NRA CSR Championships are being held from Thurs 2nd-Sun 5th July. This year they are being held on Pirbright ranges which are adjacent to Bisley. I have been asked to help co-ordinate and run the event, so I have my work cut out, but have a merry band of helpers only too willing to assist I have seen the list of entrants so far and suggest that if you intend to enter, do so ASAP as the event is open to a maximum of only 72 competitors and it is filling up fast. I have also noticed that a lot of those people that I know will be there, haven't actually sent their forms in yet. So I suggest that you do so soonest. As the matches will be taking place on Pirbright's military complex, photo ID will be required, as will car registration numbers. Note: Parking spaces are limited at Pirbright, so it is recommended that people share car space. As all shooting will be taking place on camp, it is advisable to take all food and drinks in with you and make sure you have enough to get through the day, as it will be very inconvenient for both the organisers and the MoD gate police to be dealing with people doing disappearing, and reappearing acts. We are at the behest of our hosts and it is imperative that everything runs as smoothly as possible. You will also require your Safe Shooter competency card. This will be required to be shown before your squadding cards are issued. No card=No shoot. Questions? |

Does anyone have contact info for Sally Agnew ?
I previously used to email my forms direct to Martin Farnan, but was told by the NRA earlier today to send my entry form to [email protected]. Cheers Steven |

JUst to clear some things up, the competition is open to a maximum of 72 competitors (at any one time) There are some people that are shooting the weekend only. Likewise, there are also some that are only shooting one or more days, including the week days. Please get your entries in ASAP to avoid disappointment Mark |

Would like to make the Thursday if possible - but will depend on the bane of my life - my job Only downside is that I wouldn't want to take up one day if someone else wanted to do the whole weekend. I considered that too, but entries have been available for some time, so there has been plenty of opportunity for those wanting the whole match to book it. I've hopefully made it for Thursday and Friday (probably less people available these days anyway) |

There will be more space on the weekdays than the weekend. |

Quoted: I decided to just stay over Wednesday night as well. It will save me a very early start on Thursday and the fear of getting stuck in M25 traffic.Quoted: Quoted: I'm in ![]() yep will be an 04:00 start for me on Thursday ! Lots going on folks. David Mumford from the NRA is compiling a competitors letter to all entrants (that's why you will have received that email from me last night) outlining what is required. The main stumbling blocks at this time are access to Pirbright (the Army are playing being the Army) and the fact that the 500yd matches have been scheduled for a 300yd range , but it's all being ironed out.I assumed everyone had the CoF. Guess not so I will get it emailed out as well as posted up here |

Well it looks like David Mumford the Meetings Co-ordinator has his work cut out form him. I hope that, as the NRA has booked Pirbright Ranges and the we have paid our NRA entry fees, the NRA sorts out a suitable routine for the competitors entry onto MoD owned land and transit through Pirbright and Brunswick Camp. I would expect as a minimum that paid NRA Officials are on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly at the Security Gate. |
