A buddy and me are trying to pool components for a batch of .30-06 to be used in a neutered Garand (non-self-loading as per the danish law) but the manuals and homepages I've looked through don't have any suggestions for a load to start with.
The bullets are 28 mm long Hirtenberger 147 grain NATO-style .308 with a cannelure, the cases are (neck-sized-) Norma and the powder of choice would be Vihtavuori N150 or N160. (Yes, I know, but that's what we have...)

Try to find a listed load in an Official Manufacturers Manual.

However, If you cannot match the components to any recognised load data combinations.....

At your own risk.

I've had three suggestions now and they all start approx at 49,5 grains N150 and end at 55,5 grains. That's with a COL of 84 mm and with a bullet practically the same shape and length* as the little austrian number we have. in order not to get a too high Miller Sg number i'll start at the low 2600 fps' and work my way up.
It's for 300 meter match shooting only, so no need to go up 168 MK's anyway. Besides, the  Hirt's were cheapish, 15p a pop.
Thx to all that suggested loads.
