been getting a real shit picture on a new tv and my box turns off every day.
so do i just call sky and ask for a new dish and box or do i have to pay for it .
we have been with sky forever 15/20 years but i just want a better picture .

any advice lads .

I'd report it as a fault to customer services in the first instance.

They'll charge you for a new box and some stupid service charge to put it in, get a cheap one off ebay and use your current card.

Phone them up and tell them you want to cancel.... when asked why, tell them the box has gone iffy and you aren't watching it as much.... They will mention the engineer visit (which IS chargeable) but stick to your guns and ask to cancel....

Even if the call center monkey accepts your one month notice a Tier Two Monkey™ will ring you back and ask if a new box will keep you with Sky.... You shouldn't have to pay a penny as your Direct Debit is all they're interested in...
