hello gunplumbers

what's the cost of deactivation a glock pistol. I want it for home training for mag loading and transitions training ect.

maybe its possible for it to be converted into a blank firing pistol only? I don't know the legislation so quotes and info welcome.

It is not for UK use but I would ideally like them UK certified so that I can bring them beck when I return from Spain in a few years.

if anyone is interested and qualified for the work just reply and I will email back with the full info.

all the best

Milo

You'd be looking at £500 - £750 to buy an already deactivated one,

Conversion to anything but a deac is not allowed for possession by joe public,

A full metal airsoft is the same weight and feel, seems the most sensible solution to me.

My son has a gas powered Glock 19 - and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference from a real one in size/weight terms.

The Marui Glock mags are slightly different in dimensions from the real thing. So they be tiiiiiiiiiiiiiight in Glock mag pouches.

Brownells sell inert training weapons of  several types:

"A realistic, safe alternative to using real firearms for law enforcement training exercises and weapons retention drills. Molded from actual weapons for true-to-life detail. Strong, polyurethane plastic has steel reinforcement to prevent bending and flexing; handles and balances like an actual firearm. Safety blue color signifies this is a non-firing training aid. Add a coat of paint for theatrical use."

Glock actually make a non-firing training pistol themselves - probably wouldn't be able to get on in the UK though...
