Well my T4 still works. I took it to Yoxter on Tuesday for a little F/TR at 300, 500 and 600yards. Not too shabby performance throwing my last 36 rounds of Bisley Target downrange. I might even spring for a better trigger soon..... |
Some might say us F-TR shooters are "ghey"... but theres nothing better than hunkering down with a rifle that is "on the mark" and tatering a V-bull. nice one Icarus.....You should come and see us up at Diggle...you'd be welcome and its a good challenging shoot. |
Well I do draw the line at a bipod and a back bag, anything more than that is definitely ghey ![]() Benchrests are for zeroing only............... Thanks for the invite though. Diggle, that's somewhere past Birmingham isn't it?....... |
Aye....Diggle is a bit past Birmingham and then turn right at Madchester (innit). Head for the hills......when you see people with cleft pallets and six fingers trying to scoop the moon out of a puddle you know you are there. ![]() ![]() Me likey benchrest......as an uncouth PR/tactical/PSG, shooter I decided to have a go at the sleepy version of shooting and do the 1000yd series run by the UK Bechrest Shooting Association.......and it's actually good fun....which is nice. A gun out of the box, shot off a bench.....pretty basic and without spending £30,000 on an action... ![]() I was quite supprised by how much I enjoyed the benchrest stuff.... Diggle is challenging at the best of times being 1000 feet above sea level and only receiving one day of sunshine and steady winds per millenium.....basic tactic is to throw your group down the range in the same wind pattern as fast as you can with a round thats doing 3400+ fps....its basically hours of piss taking followed by 5 minutes of insane shooting. The ability to read the wind is pretty important up there...and I haven't got a fucking clue how to do it....which makes it all the more interesting. Still need to get out within a couple of days with the AR15 and get the weekly round count up though |
