I've just been reading through our states firearms code, and it turns out that we don't have an "evil" firearms clause such as the one in NSW and other states.

Also, the OAL and barrel length laws are just long enough to allow a M4 carbine length rifle.

Now, if I can defeat the evil machinations of the Australian Customs Service, I might find myself funding Streetfighter's next jaunt to the US...

I sent two ARs to NSW, Australia. They had import certificates and everything was fine.

They arrived and Customs just lurved em. Finally they said OK, they're legal

Then it was the turn of the police. They said 'no way, jose'. Must have been the look of the things.

They came back all dents and scratches.

They don't have to go all the way to NSW: try Essex to Aberdeen via DHL.   A .22 Bremmer  missing at East Midlands for 2 weeks with all documentation.. the same rifle Aberdeen to Essex overnight by TNT...

NSW has a law against guns which look like "weapons designed or adapted for military use".

South Australia has no such law.
