Many thanks to Timlad today in helping me fix a very annoying problem, do we have a frustrated gunplumber amongst us. When using RG ammunition the rifle only fired every other round. At the end of the day it was down to a short firing pin, Tim showed me how to strip down the bolt carrier, simple to some, but not me. Also thanks to Mousegunner for his advice, and especially Streefighter for the use of his headspace gauges and the loan of a bolt and firing pin to help isolate the problem. Will now spend the rest of the evening stripping other parts down, just to see how they work. |

Had a good day at the range and we are glad zaz's problems are sorted now, the rifle now works flawlessly, here are a couple of pics of zaz today With his AR just test firing.  And having a go with an AI AW, you did like that didn't you Mike  and Timlad's Lad with my 223 PSS.   Same time next week then  |
