Well as an ex member of the Royal Armoured corps I can tell you that all of our Armoured Fighting Vehicles were supposed to be able to swim, be air portable and have an invisible mode. I like what they are designing there, even if it is to big and to square and hope that the 2010 date gets the Men & Women of the Marines to where they need to be, comfortably. I'd like to see the hole you'd need to dig to get one of them hull down, that crew of 3 and the payload of 17 Marines are going to have to be real handy with a folding shovel.  Fin stabilized rounds for a 30mm were always considered a bit OTT., That's why we stuck to the APSE (Armoured Piercing Special Effects). The COAX was neat, or the ejection of the empty cases and link on the outside of the turret was. Tony |
