I have a load of bump firing clips that I downloaded and also a template for the bump firer tool.

I have been tempted to do that with one of my AR's, whilst out in the wood's, but it would cause to much of a commotion.

I'm saving that party piece for a special occasion.

Wikipedia
Bump firing 1. is the simulated automatic firing of a semi-automatic firearm or a revolving firearm (like a revolver), usually a rifle due to their larger size. It works by using the recoil to cause the shooter's finger to pull the trigger repeatedly more rapidly than is usually attainable by simply moving your finger. 2. Rapid manual trigger manipulation to simulate automatic fire defined by the BATF FTB (Firearms Technology Branch) October 13, 2006

The easiest way to bump fire is from the hip, although this results in poor accuracy. Experienced practitioners are often able to produce reasonably accurate results bump firing from the shoulder. Bump fire tends to be much less accurate and controllable than mechanical fully automatic fire.

One method of "bump firing" is to hold the rifle with the off-hand (non trigger hand) and instead of gripping it with the trigger hand, only inserting the forefinger in front of the trigger. In order to achieve the rapid fire succession, the shooter continuously pulls the rifle forward with the off-hand while holding the trigger finger stationary such that the trigger is pulled into the forefinger. The recoil will pull the rifle backwards as the off-hand pulls it forwards. A new round will be chambered before the weapon is pulled back into the stationary trigger finger.

Devices, such as Tac triggers, can greatly assist a person in bump firing a semi- automatic firearm. These triggers, which are completely legal to purchase, attach on to a firearm's trigger guard and put tension on the back of the trigger which forces it to rebound much more easily off a person's finger. An even simpler method, which works better with AR- 15 rifles, is to use a rubber band and wrap it around the trigger guard. This works just as well as the Tac triggers but does not cost $40.00, as Tac triggers normally cost. With these devices a person can bump fire a firearm from almost any position just like a regular automatic firearm.

When bump firing with any of these methods the semi- automatic firearm simulates automatic fire so realistically that many people often do not notice the difference between the bump fire of a semi- automatic firearm and the automatic fire of an automatic firearm.
