Downer Hope you get better soon.  I spoke to streetfighter. After seeing your AR-15 I have got the bug. Going to get a standard 10/22 for the stock I have and splash the rest of my cash on an accuracy speaks AR-15 as soon as I have sorted the FAC . It make sense in the long run

Saw that yesterday.

One day it'll happen to one of us...

I already know of two occasions where that's happened to people I know

I was working up some sub loads for my first silenced M4 and unfortunately got a chamber detonation. The mag blew BIG time, exiting the mag well sending the spring, floorplate and follower bouncing around the  range. It took me an hour or so to get the rifle apart, the only other damage being a bent extractor. I now have the only .223 belted magnum case in existance.

I hope it's not me, imagine if your hand was nearer or under the mag when it let go

I noticed he smacked the forward assist a couple of times, was this the cause ? Did the rifle fire without the bolt being seated properly ?

I have never experienced anything like that, looked painful, you have to be alive to feel pain.

I'm a newbie where rifle shooting is concerned. I've shot pistols and shotguns for years though. Safety glasses are compulsory when shooting pistols/shotguns, but I've noticed not many rifle shooters wear them. After watching this rifle let go, I'll be wearing my Oakley M frames when I'm behind my rifle.

You may find that when you get your 'head down on the stock' to look through the irons/scope, the frame of your glasses gets in the way of your field of view.
If so, I recommend Ranger XL glasses (by Randolph engineering).
50k psi and eyes don't mix.

It might not of blown up in his face if he didnt hit the FA 200 times, what a dumbass

That poor AR

FA's got nothing to do with it.

As for the poor AR, well, there's loads of them.

Lives and body parts etc are another matter

FAs got a lot to do with it, he prolly had a squib, and then didnt clear it it properly. He hit the FA so much it prolly detonated the next round being chambered. As far as competence of the shooter, no doubt i agree with you there
