I've just changed the Aluminium Stock on my Carbine for an M4 type & it is now fouling the Charging Handle, it all appears to be identical to the set up on my M4 so I cant see the problem, the Buffer Tubes are a different length but that seems to be the only difference, any ideas?

What make/model was the aluminium stock?

ETA: What make/model is the new stock - some types do require a special buffer tube.

No markings on the Ali Stock, standard Acetate coating, the M4 stock is one of Jabbas. no pics, sorry.

Did you change the buffers?  The carbine buffer is shorter than the standard length buffer and if not used the standard will foul in a crabine length buffer tube.

No, the Buffers stayed put, I've shaved a bit of the stock now, it works ok.

You may think I'm a bit dippy, but my first thought was the stock exchange, share's and thing's.

Does anyone have a nice second hand 10/22 stock lurking around?

not to bothered about the condition. im putting together a rifle for a gift for a friend to get him into shooting, once he has his FAC im gonna give it to him transfering it of my license and would love to replace the trashed current wood stock for as little as possible.
