I have just helped carry a friend and next door neighbour out of his house for the last time. He passed away at 5.50 tonight after a long and dignified fight against bone cancer. His family have looked after him to the last breath at home and for that htey have my respect, a sudden downturn in his health yesterday has left us knumb with how quickley it all came to an inevitable end. Leaves a 3 year old daughter and a 19 year old son. I am now going to have a drink in his memory To a good friend

It seems everyone has a cancer story to tell, I'm in that catagory too. My Aunt is having a bad time of it right now, She lost her sister to it at a young age, and needless to say my mum is worried as well. What a horrible thing to happen to anyone ! Let hope the pain has now gone Steve |

Thank you everyone for your words of support, it means alot to me. In the last 2 years I have lost my Brother-in-Law and 3 close friends to cancer. All of them in their 40s. As Clayo said, eveyone has a story about cancer, my wife does the Race for Life every year in her brothers name, its not alot but its her way of remembering and putting something back. Onwards and upwards now Tim.................. |
