I have just helped carry a friend and next door neighbour out of his house for the last time. He passed away at 5.50 tonight after a long and dignified fight against bone cancer. His family have looked after him to the last breath at home and for that htey have my respect, a sudden downturn in his health yesterday has left us knumb with how quickley it all came to an inevitable end. Leaves a 3 year old daughter and a 19 year old son.

I am now going to have a drink in his memory

To a good friend

RIP.

The big 'C' took my father in 97 at 57, and I'm still learning to cope with him not being there for a chat, or to tell him about whats new in my life.

My condolence's.

RIP & deepest sympathies

Lost my brother a few years ago and my dad last september. It prompted me to take up shooting again. I decided it was time I did a few things I wanted to do rather than waiting until the time seems right - you never know what's next...

Its so sad to hear about a life cut short.

Condolences to family and friends......and to the rest of you who have lost loved ones.

If I could shoot anything, I'd shoot cancer.

I lost my nephew to cancer a few years ago.......... he was 5 years old. Funerals are sad but a childs funeral is ... well, 10 x worse.

RIP to your friend. My condolences to his family.

Sad times

It seems everyone has a cancer story to tell, I'm in that catagory too. My Aunt is having a bad time of it right now, She lost her sister to it at a young age, and needless to say my mum is worried as well.

What a horrible thing to happen to anyone !

Let hope the pain has now gone

I'm sorry for your loss. Cancer is almost certain to touch us all in some way in our lives, lost my Dad to it in August & Mum 3yrs ago, the dignity & bravery displayed by sufferers always amazes me. I wish the Family well.

Thank you everyone for your words of support, it means alot to me.

In the last 2 years I have lost my Brother-in-Law and 3 close friends to cancer. All of them in their 40s. As Clayo said, eveyone has a story about cancer, my wife does the Race for Life every year in her brothers name, its not alot but its her way of remembering and putting something back.

Onwards and upwards now

Tim..................
