Just ordered a 9mm SGC car4gery ................. hopefully these new ones work straight pull off an Uzi mag. should be here next few week will add pic's and a range report ......... |
There's no way it will work, If Mark couldnt get one to work, There's no chance anyone else could ![]() I look forward to you report ( With pics ) Steve |
|
Mark im sorry your right they are not right side cocking , thats a little future job for you Steve at Sheild getting a couple in at under £ 1100 each. As you know iv got one of Marks 223 carbines & he would still be my choice to build the 9mm ,but his views are well known Ok its not ideal & if i had the Range option a 300 whisper or 30 carbine Ar would be better , but my club just wont allow them ( afer a year of protesting) & im pig sick of shooting a Marlin for Gallery so 9mm is worth a try .................. untill Mark brings out the 45 Ar |
Should I order a new hacksaw blade?
|
|
I'll certainly be interested in hearing how the 9mm works out. I found the 30 carbine still a bit fussy. While it fed fine most the time it was still occasionally a pain with 'modified' magazines and ejection wasn't great (1 out of 20 cases ended up rattling around inside the action). |
Whisper doesn't do that ![]()
|
Funny that coz Jabba's been wittering on about his new 9's for over 18 months now..... And still no ones seen them |
Yeah, but it's not a new 9 is it? He ordered a straight forward 9mm straight pull and was told "a couple of weeks" Seein as it's 4 weeks now, it's obvious that Gunfighter has had it for the last fortnight and has been sneakily playing with it, without telling us

I'm still waiting for parts ordered over a year ago, promised before Christmas, and every month since then! Good job I didn't hold my breath. I actually gave up ringing him at the beginning of July when we started harvest and he said he'd post then "on monday" (it being late on Friday when I rang), Didn't see them. Looks like I might just start bugging him about them again and tell him they must have been lost in the post ![]() |
Tony, [anorak]I think thats a gen 2 Glock frame, I can see vertical ribs by the trigger group pin[/anorak]. Given that it will be carried a lot more than it will be shot, Glocks should last for a looooong while. Icarus, any ideas how old this kit is? |
Bloody Airsofters, Always trying to look the part
|
...nah, my airsoft pistol is far better quality...... |
I only posted it for the 9mm AUG actually but couldn't be arsed to photoshop. The G17 is from the early 90's although it is a 'pool' weapon. We have a mix, my personal weapon is only a few years old but sadly all have bog standard rubbish plastic factory sights. I tried to convince them to go to metal tritium sights but as I am not an instructor my opinion does not count.

Try 1957 for my previous PW Got a new MKIII with a new BDA barrel in it now |
..ironic really, when I started at this game I expounded the value of dot sights and got the 'push off sonny, you don't know what you're talking about' treatment. Now, five years later we have dot sights on Carbines, PDW's, Baton Guns and Shotguns, and the instructors ponced around with them as though they had discovered the secrets of the universe. I just had to smile and say nothing... |
Nearly 3 months now. Tell you what, bring it along to Bisley on sunday morning and I'll have a go with it |
Tell you what , make me one & you can shoot it first , although im thinking more of a 45acp one now |
