| So lads, how's the Euro(currency) working out? |
I have some Belgian friends who run a small business. They don't like it. They say they(the people)were ripped off big style when they went from their native currency to the Euro, and things are more expensive under the Euro than they were before. They also don't like the European Union and the idea of a European Federal State and Constitution. Other than that...............

+1 we want to be as cool as the US...but it's impossible....we look more like a chinese copy of the US |

The problem with the Euro was it's value was set too high. Low cost economies like Italy saw the cost of living shoot up by a factor of two… The upstart of the Euro is that places like Italy, that used to be a cheap place to holiday, are now more expensive than Switzerland. Will the Euro work out? Yes, now that the economic shock is working it's way put of the southern European economies it will do fine. As soon as OPEC switches to the Euro it will do great. ANdy |
Hiya, you asked and I'll give you the run down from a Brit living in Germany. We were forced into the €uro, no choice, nothing. My income was halved overnight, within five year's the cost of living has doubled, but my income has not kept up with inflation. I am pissed off to say the least with the fcukin €uro. There you go, any further question's?? Tony |
Good points, well presented |
Cheer's m8. But we were screwed good style, the price's have reached the point where they have substituted the € for the old DM price, so we are litterally paying double and only earning half as much as we did. Sort of take's the fun factor out of life. Tony |
