The subject is simple......... as are the the rules.... "Post the best picture, that you personally took, during 2006, that personifies shooting in the UK!" As a guide, I am looking for photos that "big up" shooting in the UK. It can be from a local club event, National Shoot or on a stalk somewhere in the Outer Hebrides  .Rules:-

That is why i asked, i was just thinking of the 35+ UK crowd that went and competed. I could show how UK shooters are able to compete in competitions up to continental championships, and all the fun that goes with such competitions. My mistake, i should have rephrased my question to sound somthing like "Do you want the emphasis of the picture to be a Location in the UK, or UK shooters?" |

OK, here's a pic taken by me, it also led to a lot of debate regarding pistol calibre's My .300 Whisper  Here's another one that led to a lot of "should you really have all those mags loaded?"   Here's another, although this pic was taken in AZ, it goes to show that although you would never see such sacrilege here in Blighty, there are people in other parts of the world who are equally bewildered by such mods as we are  Another UK ARFCOM favourite.....Thresher's 4 for £5 deal   Another one, although most of the kewl stuff is banned, there are those that adapt to overcome  That's all for now. Typical Bisley weather  The shooting God on his way to oblivion  Odd bisley weather (VERY hot, and no wind)    Some people flogging a dead horse   ETA: And finally, not from this year so it doesn't qualify but worth a mention Gunsmithing god performing 'inverse miracles' (e.g. turning a perfectly good AR into a 9mm)

It's just wrong seeing a hot Bisley, so here's a more usual one - cold & wet at 600!! Fingringhoe ETR just before the 'Saving Private Ryan' left-handed sniping started!  Case in the air at the SR practice at Bisley..  Patriotic AR...  Whisper rounds - need to get the Whipper in somewhere!  And finally, one from our day trip to Belgium...  (I know it doesn't count as it's not in the UK.) |

I can't enter, but I enjoyed this thread nevertheless. I liked the one of the pair of dodgy-looking characters who obviously didn't appreciate being photographed. I guess you can take pictures of anyone you want as long as you're heavily armed. BTW, I'd steer clear of any armorer who has a claw hammer as a part of his kit. Who knows... he probably has a pipe wrench in there, as well. |

Lot of tough choices to be made on this one..... Lot of good photos, but this one caught my eye from the outset.... The spirit of the British shooter, battling adverse conditions and still being mad enough to get a camera out in the 300 yard car park of Century in pissing rain.... Well done............ runner up (very close second) went to Paul and Jennys son photo by Streetfighter.... Close but no cigar.... Cheers guys another one on the way soon.....
